Cliff Kigar’s 2019 Lacrosse Season at RPI

A two-time All-Ohio Capital Conference and US Lacrosse All American in high school, Clifford (Cliff) Kigar enrolled at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in 2015 to play for the school’s lacrosse team and pursue a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Cliff Kigar recently concluded his senior year in lacrosse and is expected to graduate in December 2019.

The 6-foot-2 attacker/midfielder concluded his injury-shortened 2019 season with seven goals and one assist in 11 games. He took a combined 28 shots in those games, with 19 directed on goal. Mr. Kigar scored a pair of goals in the team’s second game of the 2019 season, a 12-11 victory over Coast Guard.

In the following game, Mr. Kigar scored a season-high three goals in RPI’s win over MIT. In the following game, he scored two goals, including the game-winner, a 14-8 victory over Babson.

In 2018, Mr. Kigar led RPI in goals (35), points (54), and shots (90). He also made Liberty League Honor Roll four times that year. He scored 10 and 6 goals, respectively, in 2017 and 2016.
